East of the Sun is a little slice of paradise overlooking vineyards and affording
spectacular views of the Dentelles mountains. The property has fragrant lavendar, herbs, a fig tree,
a mulberry tree, and climbing roses. The swimming pool is delightfully refreshing on a hot day. The restored farmhouse
has all the modern amenities necessary for a carefree vacation but has an old-fashioned French feel to it due to the Provencal
furnishings and decor. The house remains cool even in warm weather, and it is blessedly tranquil.

We have safely returned from our trip to France and Switzerland. Our stay at your house at La Fare was beyond our wildest expectations! The house was lovely, the site an incredible surprise.

Dear Deborah and Michael, How much do we Lafare? Let us count the ways--The tranquility. The beauty of the seemingly endless vista across the vineyards that abut the wild and wondrously purple Dentelle Mountains. The isolation--the real world left far, far behind. The timelessness of the place; we've been there each summer for almost a decade, and the only thing that changes is the house--furniture rearranged, an upstairs addition and a garage. The village is caught in time, gracefully, truly a slice of the "provincial" at its finest.

Sunset at East of the Sun is a special time. We have spent many weeks there and
always strive to be at the house for sunset. Glass of wine in hand, we sit on the terrace and enjoy the wonderful view of the
Dentelles as the sun sets. The scent of Provence is always in the air from the rosemary, lavendar, roses, etc. The house, too, is lovely and comfortable
with its own Provencial flair, and a nice kitchen where we have prepared many dinners using products from the excellent markets in the area. Simply put, East of the
Sun has made our lives better and we hope it is always a part of our lives. Kay & Tom S. of Texas
Despite the contemporary comforts you have so carefully provided, this wonderful old house
carried us into the past. When we threw open the windows in the morning, we looked across old wineyards toward old mountains, and smelled the
ancient wood of the house and the perfume of the wisteria falling from the trellis in front of our window. Indescribable and wondering! You have found an Old
World Treasure, and we thank you for sharing it with us. We were pleasantly surprised at the added comfort of the wonderful team of overseers you have employed to watch
after the house and its guests. We felt welcome, indeed. J. M. of Florida
My family and I have spent many weeks at East of the Sun over the past few years. The area is beautiful,
with a lot to do within easy driving distance. The house and grounds are perfect for my wife and I and our three children (all under 10 years old). We
can't wait for our next visit !"
